Since the wiki page Interactive Music Project has not been updated in over 2 years, I have to think that the project is no longer active as a community development project. It's possible it's been turned into an internal project, or that it has been canceled. I don't know.
There was a thread earlier this year (Updated music web site) that seems to confirm that the project never really got started and proposed an alternative approach, but nothing seems to have happened with that suggestion, either.

Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Re: Is this project Dead or something?
The current site uses software from Legato Media for the interactive music player. This player is Flash-based. I think part of the biggest reason for the stall of this project is that Legato does not have an HTML5 version of its player so that it will work on iOS and other mobile devices, and no suitable alternative to Legato's offerings has been identified.
This means that if Legato can't or won't provide a non-Flash version of their player, then most likely it would need to be developed from scratch by someone else (and without infringing on Legato's intellectual property).
Any volunteers willing to take this on?

I'm not sure what the status of the project is, but the music site has been redesign and the redesign is now available here: http://www.lds.org/music.

Re: Is this project Dead or something?
Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but it looks like there are now several non-Flash sheet music embed libraries that could work to replace Legato Media's offering:
https://opensheetmusicdisplay.org/2018/ ... -browsers/
I've used flat.io a little bit and it seems great, plus the developers are very responsive:
https://flat.io/embed (open source JS library for interacting with the embed widget: https://github.com/FlatIO/embed-client )

Re: Is this project Dead or something?
I would love it if the Interactive Player was updated. Flash is pretty much dead, though I know some sites still insist on it.
