Technical Organizational Chart ?

I really like the section of the website that talks
about each person, and what they do.

Is there any way we could also see an organizational
chart of the technical work being done at the church ?

I don't know what you're allowed to release, but it would
be interesting to see which department is working on what,
who they report to, and how many people are working on
a particular project.

A lot of this can be extracted from various blogs, and you
might have mentioned it in the Utah-only tech-talks, but it
would be interesting to see it all in one place.

I can't give you any numbers but I can give you the following information:

• ICS and Family History each have their own programming grouips. ICS focuses on all programming for church functions (MLS, unit web sites, etc). Family History focuses on family history (PAF, FamilySearch, etc). Each report up through there own department head. ICS (who I work for) reports up through Joel Dehlin.
• ICS "owns" very few programs. Most programs you interact with (such as MLS, Unit Websites, Online Scriptures, Mormon.org, etc) are owned by other departments within the Church. ICS is the arm that does the coding but the project specifications come from the owner. For example, LDS.org is owned by the curriculum department. ICS does not typically do any coding on projects unless the "owner" is aware and authorizes the work. Otherwise you can imagine the chaos that would ensue.

I am amazed that the curriculum department has spread out and worked so much to include all the resources that someone could want. Thanks and congrats to them, especially with the release of beta.lds.org as the new lds.org.

I love the new design, and is a bit easier on the eyes.

I especially like the new search functions. When I try to prepare a talk, I can filter better, so I can get the most relevant possible results. Thank you!

I do have a question though, does the new lds homepage run on joomla (Just like tech.lds.org does)?

I sat in a meeting today discussing LUWS (Local Unit Web Sites). Progress is being made, although slowly. Please be patient.
