I'm with Zane on this one -- I can go to the directory page, but I get an eternal spinner indicating that it is trying to load data. I see no data at all.

I just checked it and I had no problems. The directory came up fine. Perhaps, as Zane said, you have to smile at it. :D
Have you read the Code of Conduct?

I tried smiling, but it came out more like a grimace.

I cleared my cookies and cache and closed my browser. Still the same eternal spinner. I tried this originally on Firefox 3.6.6, then on IE 8.0.7600. One interesting thing on IE: I got a Javascript error:

Code: Select all

I'm happy to hear you are having the same problem.... I was beginning to think it was only a Las Vegas thing.......

From this error and your screenshot it looks it is having a problem loading the list of units in your stake. Is there someone else in your stake or preferably your ward that can try and see if they are having the same issues?

FYI
I'm using Firefox 3.6.6 and IE7

I'm seeing the same effect. Using Firebug in Firefox it looks like the problem is that the REST service call to get the units in the current users stake is returning a completely empty response. The error above happens when it tries to process that blank response.

I wonder if they did a new release or if this is a problem with the backend services.

The same thing is happening for me. Wild speculation (since this doesn't seem to be universal): Short unit numbers are causing this problem. My unit number only has 5 digits.

Do we need to provide this feedback to the feedback link, or has it been picked up from here?

Interesting theory, but the unit numbers for my stake and every ward in my stake all have 6 digits, and I'm seeing the problem.

I have reported this problem using the Feedback link on beta.lds.org.

I see the same. I waited 90 seconds or so for it to load before I gave up.

We haven't put out any new code since July 1st. I can't reproduce the problem with any of my test data.

I'm trying to find out if anything on the back end has changed in the last couple days.
