Just so the rest of you know what I did and it worked.
For some reason a released Branch/Ward President/Bishop was still showing as a member of our branch but he had been released months before but only in tools. Church website didn't show him. My current branch President messaged me about a calling I had entered months ago not showing up in tools app but was there on the church website.
I Un-installed the app and reinstalled it and it corrected it after a sync. Hadn't ever done that even with a sync every time I use tools. My Branch President tried it after me and it corrected his also.
Hope this helps someone else with the same problem.

While that works, I'd try "Refresh" found under "Settings" first. "Refresh" redoes the data, while sync only brings changes.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
