Plastic sacrament cups
I recently ordered more sacrament cups. I noticed the large box of plastic cups (8000 qty) was no longer offered. I mentioned it to our Bishop and he remembered seeing in Church News that the Church wants to switch to paper out of concern for the environment. But I can't find any such article. Has anyone else heard of this? Or know why the large box of plastic cups is no longer available?

Re: Plastic sacrament cups
I recently spoke to the GSD about the sacrament cups issue. The Church is going to switch to recycled plastic for the plastic cups in the near term, although they have been saying this for a while. Meanwhile they are limiting the quantity of plastic cups the units can buy as the supply is lower than usual. They did not mention anything about going to only paper cups, which I believe they get from Canada and are more expensive than plastic. Distribution makes their own plastic cups with a machine they have.schufty wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 9:12 pm I recently ordered more sacrament cups.
