Re: NEW Public Ward Websites!
Along those lines, it wouldn't be completely surprising if some Branch callings weren't included in the internal permission list. I don't have leader access anymore, but when the Unit History tool first came out, I'm 98% certain that a few Branch-specific callings weren't included (ward mission leaders were okay, but it seemed branch mission leaders were not). I'd definitely try @russelhltn's suggestion first, but if you're still unsuccessful, perhaps it is something related to your branch callings. Just another thought.

Re: NEW Public Ward Websites!
Does anyone know how to get editing power for the Ward websites? I was called to manage the website and tech communications in my Ward. Also, what I am seeing for these websites, there is essentially two? One specific to the Wards and one that is informational only from a "Google look-up" stand point. Here is the examples:

Google Look-up Website:

The first website is for your ward. The second one is for your building. I'm not sure who has edit rights to that. Perhaps it's the stake person on the take communicationbwestover wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 12:17 pm Does anyone know how to get editing power for the Ward websites? As for access to the ward website, I'd recommend reading [url-https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/ser ... ty-sharing]Activity Sharing[/url]
In the Common Questions it mentions:
Note that technology specialist, nor the calling that used to me ward website is not on that list. The wording suggests all have access, but the bishop decides who is "point".Which callings can create an activity on the Church calendar?
The bishop assigns a brother or sister to coordinate the ward activity web page. He may select someone on the ward council, a ward mission leader, a ward missionary, a counselor or secretary in one of the ward organizations, ward executive secretary, ward clerk, or an assistant ward clerk (note that a new or custom calling should not be created for this assignment).

taitino wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 10:22 pm I have been trying for the past few weeks to post activities to our ward(branch) website. I have filled out the entire activity, including the "This is a Public Event" option.
When I select "Preview" I get the following message:
"Error creating preview. Please refresh and try again."
Has anyone had this issue? Currently every unit in our stake is using the tool except for our branch. Originally we had difficulty getting access to the site. Now, we can prefill our activities but still are not able to preview and publish.
Any insights?

Calendar administrators are also ward website administrators.bwestover wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 12:17 pm Does anyone know how to get editing power for the Ward websites? Re: NEW Public Ward Websites!
The activity sharing FAQ mentions who can add events to the website, but I haven't found a list of those who can edit the website (website management) itself (cover photo, description, video, etc.).
Does anyone know if this is just the bishopric or does this include the ward council too?

Re: NEW Public Ward Websites!
Unit Webpage Management includes at least ward clerks because I've been able to get in since last October.
Maybe ask a ward council member (or 2 or 3) to look for the link in the Reports tab.
