I have a little girl who turned 3 on January 1, 2025. Everything I have read in the handbook has told me she has to stay in nursery for another year, but when I logged on to check classes on January 1, she was listed with the Sunbeams. I manually put her back into the nursery class. Now there is an little star by her name and at the bottom of the nursery list. The star means that the little girl is out of her default class. ???

If she was age 2 on Dec 31, then according to 12.1.4 she should be in Nursery on Jan 1.
This is in contrast to graduating from primary when "Young women become members of a Young Women class beginning in January of the year they turn 12." (11.1.3)
This looks like one of those dreaded "corner cases" or "off by one" errors that frequently trip up programmers.
I'd have the ward clerk report this to support so they can send it up to the developers.
