I'm working to add some content to the new online unit history tool.
This morning I wanted to see how things looked to a non-administrator (i.e., content viewer), so I logged in as a family member who only has permission to view content. Between our ward and stake, we currently have 11 articles published. However, as I tried reading the content, I encountered numerous problems. Sometimes I'd get a server error. Sometimes I'd get told the app isn't available. Sometimes I'd see 11 articles and other times it would tell me that no articles have been published. I was doing all this in an incognito window, too.
Although I previously looked at the admin site from my account very briefly, this was the first time I actually tried the role of a content reader -- I thought I'd read a few articles before contributing some content. It was a miserable experience because the app performed so poorly. I can't imagine that ward members would bother returning to view content if they encounter this type of experience.
Have other people had issues viewing the content?

Re: Unit History Site Unreliable
We continue to see the site as intermittently working or not. We've also had multiple people in our ward report that they've started working on stories and then come back and they are missing...and they're not motivated to go back and re-do the story again. Is anyone else having issues with this? Or maybe others aren't using it?

I also have had difficulty getting the tool to show stories that have been uploaded. It doesn't give me any confidence that the work I or others do will be preserved. Is there anyone at HQ software development that is monitoring this forum and doing anything to ameliorate the issues?

The Tech Forum is user-to-user discussion and collaborative self help. There are no indications that responsible ICS managers visit here. The official method to communicate issues is the feedback link found at the bottom of most Church website pages.
