Every day for the past few weeks I receive an email from "CES Employee Endorsements" titled "A CES employee/candidate is waiting to be Endorsed". It seems a member who is in the system is not continuing this semester, but the system is still trying to be helpful. I went in and the only option I see is to start the approval process, it won't allow me to set any kind of "ignore this member" flag
Is anyone aware of what the correct option is? I could simply approve and get it off my plate, but then I'd have to do an interview first. I suspect the right thing is to tell the member to handle it from their side, but I'm not exactly sure what I should ask them to do. Is anyone familiar with this and could let me know what the best process is when a CES student pauses their participation?

Re: Removing member from CES ecclesiastical endorsement system
Hello BYU,
My name is [name removed], I'm a potential graduate student, applying to study at BYU, I have issues with my ecclesiastical endorsement request, I wish to cancel the initial request because my bishop is dead, and the request can only be done by him, his counselors doesn't have access to the email for the request to be done, so I was asked to move my record to a nearby ward(Uwani ward, in Enugu Nigerian stake), which I have just did but I couldn't get a new request because of the initial pending request, so is it possible to cancel the initial pending request? I need a quick response on this matter.
Thanks.

BYU support is not part of this forum. You're going to have to find another way of reaching them.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
