Hello
I have a sister reaching out to see if there is a way to look up or receive a copy of her husbands sealing cancellation from when he was sealed back in 2003. After his divorce, they received a sealing cancellation, but they cannot locate a copy of that in any of our records. Is that something that I’m able to look up? I’m a new Ward Clerk.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Sealing Cancelation Certificate
I'm not sure of the deals. If she wants the status of her sealing, that should be on her membership record.
If it's his sealing to a former spouse, I think there's a field on his membership record "sealed to former spouse" that's a y/n.
I have doubts you can retrieve or reprint a certificate. Just limited information about current status.

Re: Sealing Cancelation Certificate
When a sealing is canceled, it is no longer recorded on the membership record. There is no certificate provided. If they have had their sealing canceled and it is still showing on their membership records, the clerk might wish to contact the GSD to followup on the membership record status.chris.shober wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 2:41 pm After his divorce, they received a sealing cancellation, but they cannot locate a copy of that in any of our records.
