Ability to enter/change Elders Quorum and Relief Society lessons

I am the technology specialist in my ward and a music director. When I went into the app today (Android) to enter the Hymns for September I noticed that I can also add/change the lessons for RS and EQ. Does anyone know if this is something new for the Technology specialist?

That seems like it would be a helpful change, if indeed it's purposeful. Let's see if any other tech specialists see your post and provide additional feedback from what they see...

There's two parts to this: the UI and the backend. Just because the UI suggests that you can change it doesn't mean the back end will accept it.

This might be an error in the UI.

That is a good though, however, I changed it in the app while logged in to the Church website and it updated according to my change.

Yes, ward technology specialists now have access to edit Sacrament Meeting Hymns, Elders Quorum Lessons, and Relief Society Lessons. Additionally, Bishoprics [including clerks and executive secretaries] now have access to edit Elders Quorum Lessons and Relief Society Lessons (they previously only had access to edit Sacrament Meeting Hymns). The Gospel Library FAQ page that lists the members who have access hasn't been updated yet, but will be soon.

The instructions in the General Handbook remain the same – primary responsibility for choosing lessons remains with the elders quorum or Relief Society presidency. However, hopefully this will make it easier for technology specialists and bishoprics to support presidencies and to teach them how the unit-based tools in Gospel Library work.

Previously, I had the ability to change the EQ lessons (I have a calling in EQ), but recently saw the other options pop-up on the home page. I actually submitted a feedback/bug report about it (fearing all members had the ability accidentally enabled). But yes, I forgot that my other calling is the ward TS. Lol. Thank you for the clarification.

It is not a beta. I am not a beta participant and as a ward clerk I can do as sbradshaw indicates. I am using GL for Android.

It appears according to the list of callings on the Gospel Library FAQ page, that Ward Assistant Clerk--Membership is not included, but based on the discussion here, my calling as Ward Technology Specialist should be a recent addition?
