I am the Unit History Specialist in my ward. I would like to talk with a manager in the software development group that produced that software. The software is impressive!
I have some ideas for your consideration that I think would improve the functionality and be effective in promoting the use of the software by more ward members.
Would you please have a manager or director contact me at [contact information removed. Please PM the poster.]
I am a retired software development manager and spent my career in the high-tech field.
Thank you,
David Brown

Re: Unit History
As nobody else has chimed in, I'll add my perspective. The Forum often receives offers of help like this from experienced members. Unfortunately, we are not connected to the Church IT group, the Forum primarily serves as user-to-user discussion and self-help. I do not believe there's any specific Church contact info for Unit History, so likely the only way to try and get this in front of somebody from the Church is through the standard Feedback functionality. From previous Forum threads, it appears to me the Church doesn't have much in the way of any ability to integrate outside help, and we can only guess as to whether that's intentional or not.dmrbrown wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 2:09 pm I am the Unit History Specialist in my ward. You could try using the Feedback link at the bottom of the Church website.

Re: Unit History
The church tried community development in the past, but I think they found it takes too much of the internal developer's time to create a sandbox. To be "inside" you pretty much have to be an employee and get screened before getting access.
