Deleting highlighting?

Discussions about the Notes and Journal tool on LDS.org. This includes the Study Toolbar as well as the scriptures and other content on LDS.org that is integrated with Notes and Journal.

I'm studying the scriptures on my Mac desktop using Safari browser. I can't delete highlighting. Can someone please help?

The UI for deleting highlights can be a little confusing. Some people, by instinct, click and drag to select the text that's highlighted, trying to delete the highlight. However, this doesn't work. If that's what you're doing, try clicking the highlight word instead of selecting it. Simply clicking the highlight should bring up a menu with options to edit or delete the highlight. If you have multiple overlapping highlights, a menu will pop up, letting you choose which highlight you want to interact with. Hope this helps!

If sbradshaw's comment didn't work, try using a different browser, like Chrome, and see if it works there. I gave up trying to use Safari for study annotations several years ago. There were too many bugs. Maybe the church has fixed some of them, but I gave up trying.
