Circles shows notifications but do not appear on Living App

Circles shows notifications of conversations, but do not show when looking at Living App.

Notifications ARE turned on
iPhone 14
iOS ver 17.1

Similar issue here. I get the notification along the bottom (and at the top by the conversations tab) that I have X number of unread messages. But when I look through each circle all the messages are read. I've also gone through and told each Circle to mark all as read and it still is there.
