Tools Calendar - Add To Calendar

We, as mobile phone users, need the ability to add an appointment to calendars using the LDS Tools app. Either this or have LDS.org be mobile friendly. Have you tried to add an appointment to the LDS calendar on a smartphone?

That is probably not likely due to the complexity of the software requirements, which drive a level of complexity in the GUI.

This reminds me of many years ago when the current calendar came online. The first thing our stake Primary president wanted to do was to create a private calendar for her presidency members. No problem. The problem came when she tried to create and manage her private calendar using a web browser on her smartphone. She complained to me several times, and all I could tell her to do was to use a real computer, with a keyboard and a mouse.

A few more views and delegates would not add too much more to the current complexity of the app. Also, making the current calendar reflow like every-other quality website created today isn't asking too much either. Even LDS.org has a mobile version.

Any more thought to this? With the new year changes in meetings we need to share information in the ward calendar even more now. Adding an event on LDS.org using a smart phone is painful. Please try to provide the tools needed for us to be successful.

It’s 2023 now and the calendar app is still borderline in unusable. How is it so bad? Maybe it’s time to just subscribe to a service or go buy a calendar software company and implement it.
