Basic Gospel Library functionality

A separate post mentioned the existence of a Basic version of the Gospel Library, which I was unaware of. As mentioned in that post, this interface might be helpful for members who prefer a simpler access to core features. The main access point is https://basic.churchofjesuschrist.org/study, and appears to be available in multiple languages. I searched on the website for help docs about this, but only found the following which briefly mentions the existence of the basic experience: What Is an Unsupported Browser and How Do I Fix It?

I assume the Basic Gospel Library is an ongoing feature that will continue to be supported. Is anyone aware if there is a more official explainer about this, that we could reference to get details, and perhaps point members to that? I also looked in the Forum but didn't find anything, if there's an existing post covering this topic, just point me to it!
