Account with MRN doesn't exist, but can't create with MRN because it already exists
I'm trying to help my 13 year old brother set up an account with his membership record number. When he tries to set it up, he gets the standard alert that either his MRN is already being used or his MRN/Birth date is incorrect. We have confirmed with our bishop that we have the correct MRN and birth date. When we try to recover his account using his MRN, we get the alert that an account matching his MRN and Birthdate was not found. ??? How do we resolve this?

Then look for the help section and subsection titled Children Accounts. It is possible you may need to enlist the help of a parent or the ward clerk.

My church account is telling me that I did not provide membership record number and it has requested me to provide it. After entering my record number and my date of birth, the system automatically directs me to recover my password. Because of this I have change my password many times but my church account still tells me that I did not provide a membership record number when I created the account. Please someone help I need to have the church account to accept my record number.

That's new. Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

You do have a different account than Slekgwati that has your mrn attached. The other account is the one that it is trying to help you recover your password on.
