Should this software be installed on other computers such as Family History Center and other Stake Computers?

This applies to clerk computers. Until directed otherwise, I would not to them to FHC computers.jim9herr wrote:Should this software be installed on other computers such as Family History Center and other Stake Computers?
Assuming the stake computer is for the stake clerk, then it should be included. If you're talking about something else - uhhhhh, what stake computers?

Is there a way to verify the proper installation and operation of the management system by the STS once the computer is rebooted?

Re: REQUEST: Please put your clerk computers under management
If you follow the directions on computers that were setup using an older provisioning tool, be ready for a mess once it finishes installing the updates. (says it can take up to 24 hours) It will change your accounts up and lock the units out. I am disappointed that Church IT does this without using email to inform an STS of the changes and what needs to be done. Having Wards panic on Sunday while you run around guessing what new thing the IT department decided to do is fairly frustrating. Information is key and church IT should use the same technology they are in charge of to provide notifications to the STS.

One problem caused by the recent change in Technology Specialist callings is that there is no longer a single "the STS" in a stake. Some stakes have a dozen or so Technology Specialists, with no single point of contact.

I am attempting to do the install, but get the
404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been moved, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
I double and triple checked the URL and had typed it in correctly.

The link in the PDF works for me. I clicked on that link.
If you're typing it, note that the last part is "enrollchurchcomputer-localunit.exe". That dash is part of the name, not a mark indicating "continued on next line".

Do we assume our computers are under management if we have not received any word to the contrary?

From what I've seen, I would have to say, yes. I fixed 1 of 2 that were flagged in my stake using the link and saw that Sophos was still running on that machine. That tells me it was NOT getting the proper management from HQ.
