There may be a setting but my understanding is that without the app it sticks to full frame.
After so many months, we know the exact marks to use as reference for the camera alignment.

After reading and watching some tutorials I found you CAN configure the MEVO camera to retain the ptz/fov from the last time the camera was used.richarddanielwatts wrote:There may be a setting but my understanding is that without the app it sticks to full frame.

This youtube video talks about the Mevo Button configuration at 7:56, and the AutoWideOnAppDisconnect setting at 8:50

So if the MEVO camera is configured properly, and your tripod mounting is repeatable from week to week, then the MEVO camera can be a "one button" streaming solution. It doesn't get any easier than this !!!
It's also worth mentioning that you can setup PtzOptics cameras to retain a ptz/fov setting and automatically start streaming when you turn the camera power on.

The auto wide on app disconnect is only if you have set a frame and then turn the phone off I believe
Would be worth testing but I'm pretty sure it will not resume that setting for your next broadcast.
We set the position of the mevo 5 and a half foot away from the pulpit and 5 and a half foot high on the mic stand so that we don't need to worry with any cropping of the frame or anything.
As this has become a weekly thing, anything that we can do to standardise and simplify it is good.
