Re: Can't access YouTube Studio at church
Anyone figured out why we get this white page when trying to access youtube in the church building? We had it happening in one of our wards, but then we've had 6 successful broadcasts without issues. Now we're getting the rest of our wards in the stake up and running and a couple of wards are getting that blank page when trying to access youtube to set up and administer the stream.
I have tried changing firewall settings to managed - same result.
tried rebooting the firewall a couple of times - same result.

Are you connecting to the network via WiFi? If so, by chance, is this a Mac? We've noticed some issues where Macs are not able to display the Splash Screen that must be clicked on to get access to the Internet.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

If I try to go to http://www.studio.youtube.com I get a "This site can't be reached" error message.
If I am presently signed in to Chrome browser with my personal google account credentials, when I go to https://studio.youtube.com I am prompted to create a youtube account.
If I am not presently signed in to Chrome browser, when I go to https://studio.youtube.com I am prompted to sign in.

I DO get the white "Oops" page if I am presently signed in to Chrome browser with my personal google account credentials and attempt to go to https://studio.youtube.com/channel/xxxx ... estreaming

Re: Can't access YouTube Studio at church
i've tried connected to wifi and ethernet, same result. using a new chromebook. Also tried on a mac and regular windows laptop with the same result. i wondered if it had something to do with the splash page, but disconnected from the network, rebooted the firewall, reconnected to the network with the splash page and still got the same result. Tried it in another building today also, no issues (though we have had issues in that building before).russellhltn wrote:Are you connecting to the network via WiFi? If so, by chance, is this a Mac? Re: Can't access YouTube Studio at church
This doesn't have anything to do with wifi vs hard-wired, the firewall setting, or the browser; we are usually using PCs but I think we had the problem with a Mac once but not sure, I know a couple times we used a Mac it worked. We are always already signed in to YouTube using the ward account. We don't get any sort of error, just a blank white screen. It doesn't seem to be blocking access to the page, but rather the content of the page. But what I need to do is compare the URL and page source code in both situations. The only thing that works for us consistently is bypassing the firewall, or accessing the site from home first. I called the global service desk and asked them to escalate it but have received no response.
