I believe security would have to intercept them and taste them to make sure they were safe to consume. I expect that the developers would never see them. But it is a wonderful idea.

The app is still rolling out. If you cannot find it, it is probably because the app is not yet available in your part of the world.

It is now well after January 1st and the promotion of the app continues. I just read an article in the New Era about it. What updates are there for this app?
