For some reason, over the past 2 days in 2 different buildings I have been unable to access filter.lds.org. Instead of the friendly check mark or X, I get the message that the website is being blocked.
Ummmm..... why?

Re: filter.lds.org being blocked
Sounds like a error in the filter setup. My understanding is that the way it's supposed to work is that filter.lds.org is blocked, but goes to a custom block screen that has a checkmark. If you somehow get to filter.lds.org, you get the big "X".
The system is blocking it, but what's missing is the custom re-direct.

Re: filter.lds.org being blocked
This is of particular concern during ward audits, as that is a step in the audit. At my stake center when the stake auditor tried that and got the blocked website message, he came and got me. I took a look at it. Told him I would look into it. He asked what he should check, I told him that the filter was working, just a little "too well", so check yes. And he did. However the other building (it is within my FM group, of which I manage their IT), they did not. So how can this be fixed?
It would seem to be a systemic problem.

Have you tried going to https://filter.lds.org/ instead of http://filter.lds.org/ (not sure if it would make a difference)?

Re: filter.lds.org being blocked
I am not sure if that would make a difference, the audit instructions state what address the auditor is to go to. I am thinking this might be a problem on the Meraki firewall.sbradshaw wrote:Have you tried going to https://filter.lds.org/ instead of http://filter.lds.org/ (not sure if it would make a difference)?

I have the same issue. Three audits this week and all with the same problem. However, it works correctly on the wifi network just not the LAN connected desktops. Called Global Services and I need to be at one of the desktops to trouble shoot further. I'll have to call back in the evening after work.

I tried this on my clerk's computer (with a wired connection) over the weekend. The https did not work. The http worked, as well as just plain filter.lds.orgsbradshaw wrote:Have you tried going to https://filter.lds.org/ instead of http://filter.lds.org/ (not sure if it would make a difference)?
